The Great Alien Hunt:
Which States Are UFOs Most Likely to Land?

Introduction

So much has happened over the past decade that it’s almost overwhelming to think about it—wars, viral outbreaks, climate disasters… The only thing missing from the picture is an alien invasion. Speaking of which…
Speaking of which…

Have you ever wondered, if an alien invasion were to happen in the U.S., which state would most likely be the target? If you haven’t, maybe you should start considering it. Our world has become so unpredictable that such an event doesn’t seem entirely out of the realm of possibility. And if you have wondered, well, you’re not alone. We’ve been thinking about it too, which is why we decided to conduct a study to determine which state’s rooftops are the most likely to witness a UFO landing!

Methodology

In this study, it was crucial to consider every possible factor that could theoretically influence an alien’s decision to land in a particular U.S. state. To achieve this, we sifted through official data sources like the United States Census Bureau and consulted the National UFO Reporting Center for additional relevant information.

We gathered state-level data on population size and growth, education, poverty rates, and various other metrics, including the number of UFO reports. These data points were then grouped into categories and scored on a scale from 1 to 10, allowing us to identify the top states most likely to become prime landing spots for aliens.

Categories

All the collected data were divided into five main categories, which helped us rank all U.S. states.
icon
Population & Homebodies
It’s unlikely that aliens will exclusively strike at night, as many believe, but one thing we can say for sure is that they will probably try to land on your rooftop while you’re in the comfort of your home. Therefore, in addition to standard population data, we added information about the number of people working from home and spending most of their time indoors. We also factored in the number of residential homes with roofs that would make perfect landing spots for flying saucers.

Perfect Lab Rats -
Vulnerability
Some are born to create something great, while others are born to serve as tools for a greater cause. This category includes data that, in our opinion, points to states with the most ideal "test subjects" for alien experimentation - after all, this could be one of the primary goals of an extraterrestrial invasion. We gathered information on psychological resilience, mental and physical health, and even resistance to viruses.
icon
Smart Specimens -
Prime Alien Collaborators
At Vilex Construction, we believe that in the event of an alien invasion, they will seek out collaborators—bright minds who will be willing to work with them. The U.S. is home to many brilliant individuals whose expertise may be crucial for aliens to better understand humanity and complete their mission, whatever that may be. For this reason, we created a category to identify potential collaborator states, focusing on education data, particularly in the fields of Science, Engineering, and Health.
icon
Watchdog Zones - Heavy Law & Health Forces
This one is simple: the more law enforcement and healthcare workers there are in a state, the harder it will be for aliens to carry out their plans undetected. Their goal, after all, would be to remain unnoticed for as long as possible.
icon
UFO Hot Zones
Last but certainly not least, is the category that tracks the number of UFO sightings reported in each state. After all, it’s possible that aliens are already among us, and a large-scale invasion is just around the corner. The big number of UFO reports could be a sign of this... perhaps?

It’s no surprise that California, Texas, and Florida made it to the top three alien favorites. Population size played a major role here, along with the number of reported sightings of unidentified flying objects.

What’s far more interesting is which states are prime targets for aliens looking to gather test subjects. Which states should be worried the most?

Top States Where UFOs are Likely to Land
for Their Next Human Experiment

According to our research, the ideal states for rounding up test subjects are New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida. These three states scored the highest in the “Perfect Lab Rats” category, with scores of 7.26, 6.75, and 6.66, respectively.

A combination of poor resistance to viruses (including COVID and other viral infections) and high mental resilience (a statistical fact!) makes the residents of these states ideal subjects for experimentation. These are the states aliens will likely visit first when it’s time to start experimenting on the human race. So, we strongly suggest you reinforce your home and fix that leaky roof if you’ve been putting it off—because who knows… an alien invasion might just be a matter of time!

Aliens Will Find Perfect Collaborators Here

Massachusetts (6.83), District of Columbia (5.60), and yes, once again, California (5.07) are the states where, in our opinion, aliens might land with more of a business proposal than an invasion plan. Instead of terrorizing the population or conducting experiments, the residents of these states could be offered collaboration and growth opportunities, as these areas have the highest concentration of people with doctorates in science, engineering, and health. Thanks to their intellectual prowess, the residents of these states may not only save their lives but also land some pretty good jobs! Haha…

These Rooftops Won’t Be Easy to Beach: Watchdog Zones

In some states, aliens will have a hard time landing on rooftops without facing consequences. Wyoming, District of Columbia, and Mississippi, according to our research, have the best defense systems in place, thanks to their high concentration of police officers and healthcare workers. If aliens decide to invade, these states can rest easy knowing they’re well-protected!

The same can’t be said for Virginia, Maine, and Vermont… These states scored 9.42, 9.31, and 9.02, respectively, making them prime targets for aliens due to their low levels of protection. They have the fewest police officers, and medical assistance could take a while since there are also fewer healthcare workers. Well, we can only wish you good luck—reinforce your rooftops and barricade yourselves in because you’ll be on your own…
